CULTURE SHOCK

 First of all, I will write a little summary of this book.

 Paloma is a sixteen-year-old girl, whose parents told her and her brothers that they would move to London because of their father's job. Paloma was very angry because her live in Spain was going very good; she had a best friend and the things with the boy she liked, went well. When they had arrived at London, the first day of their new scholl  Paloma made new friends. The days passed, and Paloma was completely adapted with her new life. 

Before reading the book, I though that for the main character would be very difficult to leave her friends, school, country... Also that it would be very difficult for her to adapt in her new school, country, language... 

After read it, I could comfirm that for Paloma, was very difficult to leave all the things that she had in Madrid. But,  in London, was very easy to made new friends and became part of a group of friends.

 Of course, I won't explain more things and the end of the book, because if it interests you, you have to read it!

THE MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE and other stories.

The author of the book is Edgar Allan Poe, and one interesting of him, is that he had an unstable character and most of his stories of death and horror, were inspireted in his own nightmares. Two of this stories, are in this book, The Masque of the Red Death and The Pit and the Pendulum. The other story is the once that have the name of the title of the book, The Murders in the Rue Morgue.

The first two storyes are about the death and the horror how I said before. The fisrt, seems that all will be go well, but you have to arrive at the end, and the second is the opposite of the first: the characters, the situation, the place where the characters are...

The third story is different than the others, because in this case, it's a story of detectives and mystery.

I think that the stories of this book are a litle strange because in all day appears the death or a person dead. But, in an other way, the stories are entertainig, specially the first one because the situation is a mask party,  mysterious, specially the last, because the main characters have the task of solve some murders,  and very reflexive, specially the second one, where all the time we know what the character is doing and thinking. 

I recoment the book to all the people who like mystery, horror and death...

THE QUENN OF DEATH

Now, I've finniseh to read the book The Queen of Death.

I really like this book, because it's about a mistery, and I love mistery books (and films too ;p). 

For me, it's a really good story, and because of this, I recomend this book to you a lot. It's propably that you won't enjoy the book in the same way to me. Maybe, you won't like it or you will love it more than me.

If you like stories of mistery you will enjoy the book. And even if you like theme of the Egyptian history you will love it!

 The vocabulary is good and clever. Yes, there are some words or sentences that have a little difficult but you won't have a lot of problems to understand the book. Also, there are a lot of pictures that make the story more swift, and you can see some scenes of the book.

 One thing that I love when I read is that I can imagine the situatios and the characters. In this book you can imagine a lot of things: the characters, the hotel that host Salahadin, the sites that traverse the story, the tomb of the mummy...

So, I give you an advice: take the book, relax and enjoy it!
